Criminal and Cruelty

I just read today newspaper about homicide and robbery of gold/jewelry store in Semarang, Middle Java, that took place around 20.00 pm our local time. The killer robbed around 100kg of gold and murdered the store owner (34 years old), wife ( 32 years old) a servant/ store helper( 15 years old ) and injured an old aunt ( store owner aunt,62 years old ). The owner was died of suffocated because the robber put plaster on his mouth and nose and the rest were shot to died on heads.
The irony was, the store is located only 50 m from police station ( the station is suppose to provide security because there are many jewelry/gold store on that street.) The street was crowded at that time and nobody suspect a thing, even the robber wear police uniform ( one of street hawker saw a police got in to the victim house )
From the store CCTV, There were 4 robber all with loaded guns. They are smooth and proffesional.
On that day, around 19.00 after the victims closed their store and on their way to their house, they were stopped by several man, 4 of them wore police uniform. The man got into the car, tied down the victims, plastered their mouth and wait in car.
From store CCTV it shown that around 20.00 the robber force the store owner into the store to open his safety box and stole the gold. The owner was died of suffocated and the body was left in the store.
The other victims were drove away they shot to died and the car was left in front of local university which was 10km from the store.
The old aunt was survived and ask for help in the morning.
The crime was so cruel and cold blooded.
How come the humanity is so cheap now days?
This is just a small part of crime that happened in Indonesia.
I still remember, early this year, a couple, not far from my home, was murdered by their own factory worker with security guy and his friends. The robber were cruel. They hit and the couple ( not young, already around 50ties) because the couple didn't have any money with them, then the couple were hit by their own car ( which was drove by 16 years old boy, one of the robber)
Then, they stole the car, hand phones and ran away, later the robber were caught and jail.
But the soul has lost, the damaged was done.
The hurt, the lost n the sadness is so unbearable for the ones who left behind.
How can human do so terrible stuff to other human being?
Are human really more dignity then other creature in this world?
Who can answer me?
